Kia ora everyone,
My family and I are holding a fundraisier for our sister Theresa who has breast cancer.
Date: 7th March 2008 @ 7pm

Entertainment: The Peter Morgan Band featuring my brother Chuck Morgan, Jeni Love and Denys Mason
Special Guests: Nessa Morgan aka NesKa and DJ - JSmoove

Our sister Theresa is the second youngest in our family of 9 brothers and sisters. She is 43 years old and lives in New Zealand with her husband Murray and
15 year old daughter, Syreeta. Theresa was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2007. Since then Theresa has had a radical mastectomy and is now undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
Theresa is being treated with the drug Herceptin and needs 12 months treatment. This drug is only funded for 9 weeks in New Zealand and so Theresa now must raise approximately $100,000.00 to fund her treatment to fight this cancer. Our entire family is dedicated to raising funds for the treatment Theresa needs to save her life.
Theresa completed 2 government funded treatments before Christmas last year and another in the early new year. Recently she ompleted her first self funded treatment. Theresa now must continue to pay $6,000.00
for each treatment every 3 weeks.
We are hoping to raise $12,000.00 to fund 2 treatments for Theresa on
The night is being organised by us - Theresa's family and entertainment provided by our family and supportive friends.
If you'd like to read more information about Herceptin and Theresa's brave battle with cancer please go to http://www.herceptinfortheresa.blogspot.com

Bali Bombing Commemoration 12th October 2007 |
Sunday 30th September, 2007 |
I am very proud to be performing at the Bali Bombing Commemoration at Dunningham Park Cronulla
at 7am.
On 12 October 2002 a bomb blast devastated the nightclub district in the resort town of Kuta Beach on the island of Bali, Indonesia. A total of 202 people lost their lives as a result of the blast and over 300 were injured. Of the 88 Australians who died in the blast, seven lived in Sutherland Shire. They were: Charmaine Whitton, Jodi Wallace, Jodie O’Shea, Michelle Dunlop, Renae Anderson, Simone Hanley, and Francoise Dahan. Sutherland Shire Council commissioned sculptor Chris Bennetts and Ishi Buki Sandstone Sculpture to design a memorial as a tribute to the lives of these seven young women and their contribution to our community, and as a lasting reminder of this tragic event. Their work, called "The Seed", is a design derived from the seed and foliage of the Banksia robur, a beautiful native plant indigenous to Sutherland Shire. The seed was chosen as it signifies renewal, resilience and regeneration. This pink sandstone sculpture is the centrepiece of the memorial. It is set in a black granite pond and located not far from North Cronulla Beach which was frequented by many of the seven victims and their families.
I will be accompanied by my good friend Deva Permana who will play a traditional Indonesian drum.
Please join us and family and friends for the 2007 Bali Bombing Commemoration.
